In Memory

Steven McCauley

Steven Spencer McCauley, 64, of Keswick, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, surrounded by family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Beverley Ann McCauley; and his father, Oliver Leake McCauley.

Steve was a loving son to Anna Mae Spencer McCauley and a devoted father to his sons, Travis and wife, Meredith McCauley, and Cole McCauley. Also surviving him were his sisters, Katherine and husband, David, and Robin and Carolyn McCauley; and many nieces and nephews.

Steve grew up in the Charlottesville area and graduated from Albemarle High School. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves on the USS Shenandoah and recently retired from his career as a crew line foreman for CenturyLink Telephone Co. His passions were his family, his cabin in Buckingham County, and working on projects in his garage. He could build just about anything and spent as much time as he could in the outdoors, working and hunting with his sons and buddies.

We will miss Steve's quiet, generous spirit and his trademark infectious grin.

No services are planned at this time.

Contributions in his memory may be made to The Hospice House, 501 Park Street, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or a charity of your choice.
